I dunno, seems like it would go well with Zdeno Chara's 65" long silver stick.

Clearly, Mac will have to present Zdeno Chara with the unused prototype!

Intellectually speaking, I realize that a man that tall needs a pretty long stick if he doesn't want to be bent double in order to touch the puck, but it's a little bemusing that his hockey stick is stick is 3 inches and change longer than I am.

It's actually just my height, come to mention it! It is the longest stick in the league. We only joke about this every single game.

Well, isn't he the tallest guy in the league? We live in Vermont, so we end up seeing a lot of Bruins games, although some years ago, when my son was in high school, he was asked to pick a favorite team, and he chose the Canucks. To add some spice to family hockey watching, I chose to root for the Wild, and my husband for the Ducks, so we are among the few Vermonters who don't confine out rooting exclusively to the Bruins.

I thought that avoiding having jewels hit by hockey sticks was the reason Lord Stanley wore a cup!

Ooops. Sorry. I guess I've been hanging out in the locker rooms at the rink too long.

I'm going to assume you've seen this one, but it still makes me giggle anyway: "The first testicular guard, the "Cup," was used in Hockey in 1874 and the first helmet was used in 1974. That means it only took 100 years for men to realize that their brain is also important."

Maybe that's how long it took to prove that hockey players actually possessed working brains?

Yep, I've heard it, and known guys where it definitely applied, but it also makes me giggle every time I hear it.

Brain, teeth, eyesight, straight nose, how could anyone possibly value that over an unrestricted view of the puck? ;)

Men have brains?

Mac does! But that doesn't mean you can generalize. He's clearly unique.

Oh, yes! Of course Mac does. But then, he's no ordinary man. ;-)
