I can't believe I ate the whole thing.

You're missing a bit of context here -- you'll notice the plate is clean and shiny. In this scene in the episode, he used the mustard and the ketchup (which you can see in the cap) to draw a face on it. In another scene in the same episode, he attempts to do pottery on a wheel, with notably poor results.

He's eyeballing that plate like he's got nothing but pure evil on his mind. You don't catch that as much when the scene is in motion.

He doesn't seem to have a lot on his plate, unlike most episodes.

Sooo *running away*

Feel free to hypothesise what, other than a silly face, he might have been considering drawing on the plate. *g*

It occurs to me that one of the things he could have done without consequences was chow down on anything he liked . . . the Time Loop Diet Plan!!

I didn't know Jack had a Gettysburg address. His cabin's in Minnesota, not Pennsylvania, right?

How very Zen! lol

Ten endless hours
Time turning back on itself
Jack has gone wacko

Ah, the artist not quite at, almost, very nearly at work.

Contemplating his future masterpiece?

No, no...It's a hotdog trap!

See the shiny plate, the nonchalant look and the mustard poised for when his prey appears?
lolmac From: lolmac Date: 8th April 2010 05:43 (UTC) (Link)
Ooo! You've got it. He's even sneakier than we thought! That's why he's keeping the ketchup hidden in ambuscade behind the napkin dispenser!!

It's a little-known twentieth century art history fact* that Jackson Pollock got his start using the condiment squeeze bottles in the school cafeteria to create his earliest works.

Wow! Pity Jack went for representationalism . . . although, if he had created a masterpiece, it would have disappeared in the next loop. Boy, is that edgy or what?
